Jain Temple: The Jain Temple at Sulthan Bathery is believed to have been built during the 13th century. It design is strongly influenced by the architectural style of the then reigning Vijayanagar Dynasty. At one point in history, this temple also served as the ammunition tore or battery of Tipu Sulthan’s army.

Ambalavayal Heritage Museum (about 10 km from Sulthan Bathery): One of the best heritage museums in Kerala, it houses artifacts and belongings of the various tribes in Wayanad.

Edakkal Caves (about 12 km from Sulthan Bathery): One can reach Edakkal cave after a short trek of about a kilometer from Edakkal. The wall art found in these caves that have been inhabited at various stages in history has caught the attention of archaeologists worldwide.

Chethalayam Falls (about 12 km from Sulthan Bathery): This is one of Wayanad's many splendid waterfalls. It is a lovely place to visit and adventure-minded can easily have an enjoyable time climbing up the rocks to the waterfall.

Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary (about 17 km from Sulthan Bathery): Rich in bio-diversity, this sanctuary is contiguous to the protected forests of Nagarhole and Bandipur on the northeast in the neighbouring State of Karnataka and Mudumalai on the southeast in the neighbouring State of Tamil Nadu. The sanctuary is managed scientifically with prime importance for conservation and genera lifestyle of the tribals and others who live in and around the forest region.
